Giving This A Shot

Howdy Ya'll...sorry about that, hello everyone. Welcome to my brand spanking new blog site. Don't really know what to do now...so...how are you?
This is all very new to me. I always hear about my older sister's blogs and how everyone loves them and I always think to myself, if she can do this, I can probably do this very well.

So, here's my situation. I am currently in Austin, Texas interning at the Barton Creek Resort. I work on one (Crenshaw Cliffside) of the four golf courses at the resort and am having a great time...so far. My one complaint is the depressing heat, which I am proud to say is on the 66th 100 degree day this summer. Second hottest summer in Austin...EVER. Pretty good timing on my part.

I am currently living with my cousins Megan and Nate, and their two kids Stella and Sam. Stella is one, Sam is almost four months. I don't know what the bigger shock to my system has been. Being around two very, very young children, or eating more vegetables in one meal than I had the last four years of my life. I am very lucky to have Meg and Nate down here. I can't imagine how crazy it is to bring a newborn baby into your home, then a week later bring in another one...except he's 24. They are all very fun and easy to live with. I learn something new everyday. Except changing diapers, I had to draw a line somewhere.

My main reason for joining the blogging community is there is a lot of funny stuff I encounter everyday. Whether it be at work, around this new town, or finding out how much my youngest cousin really respects me after I hold him, feed him, make him laugh and he still craps in my hand. I'm sure most of the people that read this will be family which is my intention. I know how bad you all miss me and I figured this would be a good way to keep you all updated on everything down here in big ole' Texas.
By the way, they really do everything bigger down here. I bought a 24 oz. beer from a gas station for $1.25. Not my proudest moment. Mostly because an hour later I spent four bucks for one measly 12 oz. can. Lesson learned. Now I just hang out outside the gas station.
