Baby Signing Time!!!

I figured while I sit through my fantasy draft I could go ahead and throw out another blog. First off, I need to say how scary of a feeling it is to walk into the house after work and the first thing I hear from Meg is, "I read your blog!" Now, I did do this for people to read. I just expected a few days, maybe weeks before anyone found out about it...thanks Ally.

Now I could never describe my experience down here without explaining what consumes my time the most when I'm at the house. Whenever Stella wakes up from her nap, or is a little unhappy, the best trick to get her in a good mood is the dvd, baby signing time. The title says it all. It actually is very crazy to witness. A woman, two kids and a frog go through a ton of different signs that a baby might use in a day. Different foods, colors, people. And Stella has picked up a lot of these. And to make everything a little easier to remember, they all get thrown into a song at one point in the show. I'll admit, they are catchy the first or second time around. But, they tend to take their toll on the 101st or 102nd time. And it is hard to explain to people when my mind will wander and the next thing I know I'm breaking out into the latest song we've been listening too. The new one isn't bad, the crazy pizza song.
"I like spaghetti on my pizza, put the spaghetti on the popcorn, put the popcorn on the soup, put the soup on the sandwiches, put the sandwiches on the eggs, put the eggs on the pizza, don't forget the extra cheese...I blacked out, where am I.
I am proud to say I know as many signs as my one year old cousin. But I give myself about a week before that's over. She's been picking them up at a rapid pace lately. And I'm pretty sure she's been giving me the finger, but she's so friggin' cute that no one says anything about it.
So here's to Rachel, Leah, Alex and Hopkins (guess which one is the frog).

Also glad to report we had the 67th day of 100 degrees. Two more and we break the 57 year record! Gooooo Sun!

  3. Reminds me of "Barney" and that song that went around in my head when Nick was little. I'm singing it again now, thanks a lot Jord.

  4. I can attest on the signing video. The one stuck in my head is the dad/grandfather, mom/grandmother song. I think I sang that in my head for a week after we got back for our little visit. Good luck with the heat. Still haven't heard about the Trivia Finals??? Aunt Lori.
